METAMORPHOSIS OF PLANTS

Starting point for this work was Goethe's poem called "Metamorphosis of plants". I tried to find main essence of plants which exist in each vegetation form, in the structure of the leaf. After grasping the structure it starts to be clear that reproduction of all plants are and conversion of its organs are metamorphosis of one ideal form. This form gives potention to plants to fall into each other.

Specificaly in plant life the biggest change happens when leaf becomes transformed to a blossom of flower. It helps to grasp what is happening in the spirit of the plant.

What interests me is the way how these forms are invented. It can have a hiden key to creation. There is like scooping out from limitless infinity, palms scoops out and it becomes a palmful.

These works are lino cuts over which I made handmade paper reliefs. I also see the paper's making process as a process of metamorphosis. This material has a big flexibility to take water and give it out.
